The second installment of BRAUN my sci-fi book is now available at Comixology for only $1.99.
It’s been a long time coming but now you can get the full color story as it was meant to be seen. Spread the love, share the joy.
What is Braun?
If you like robots, girls and destruction, you’ll probably dig this series. It’s a layered action story with mystery and suspense. Not your typical sci-fi experience and at 32 pages each, you certainly get your money’s worth.
As I wait for BRAUN to get printed I’ve shifted my focus back to writing. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for some time now but could only do in small chunks of time. I’m a storyteller at heart and I can get lost in the creation of worlds. As it is, comics is one of many ways to deliver a story. Now I’m exploring others.
I started my first novel about a week ago and I’m managing between 2000-5000 words a day, it just depends on how many interruptions I get. I usually write from when I wake up until lunch time. After that I start painting and getting back to basics with my art. I believe my progress and growth as an artist has suffered while being in production mode on my last graphic novel for the past several years. If I put the same amount of vigor and perseverance into it that I do with comics I should be able to turn it around in short order.
I’ve mentioned this to a few people who have given me sideways glances that suggest I’m being absurd…or obtuse. Take your pick.
But I’m confident in my assessment like anyone who’s closest to the heart of the matter. The only way to know is to prove it out. Assess and timebox and execute.
I should also mention that THE PROCESS: Art of the Sketchbook a two part series is now available.
Here’s another Ink Style. I really enjoyed doing these. What better way to cross-compare different approaches to inking by using the same base. =s=
