Coco Beach, Florida. Where the skin is basted in oils and weathered like handbags. Where the young and old look younger and older than they really are. I’m not sure if I’d ever consider retiring in a warm area like Florida but visiting has seems okay once in awhile. Especially if I can paint.
The challenge here was the wind, and the clouds moving in front of the sun. Only the wind never let up. Also, I kept dropping my brush, losing my hat and having to reapply the sunscreen. Your environment can be beautiful and cruel…that’s just the way it goes.
When you can’t run, you hide in plain sight. I used to love running but at some point that didn’t seem to be reciprocated by my aging ankles. At least biking is still an option. So instead, watercolors at 30 paces. Hadn’t done one in awhile. Makes me miss putting that into rotation. Will do more soon.
